Nobody tells you that this is part of the job when you’re not a sample size and you work in fashion. The math of wanting to be in these spaces, wanting these relationships with these houses, wanting to sit front row in something beautiful and also knowing that the industry’s infrastructure was not built with your body in the blueprint. You figure out which battles are worth having and which showrooms are worth entering and you develop a very thick skin, which, given everything, feels like the most on-the-nose possible outcome.
