Aging has been on my mind at lot this year. Last time I had felt this way I was 27. A few years out of the military (also recently divorced), and struggling to come to turns with getting older and feeling like a failure.

Twenty years later, seems fitting, I'm struggling with my aging again. Not because I'm turning 47, but because I'm so close to 50. A half century old! Seriously, that just sounds huge.

Now I'm reminding myself, that I survived my 20s (even through war). My 30s were fine, but 40s have been my best decade- even with all the ups and downs. It's OK to be uncomfortable.

It's not a midlife crisis. But a midlife reset. Let's embrace aging again.
