Literally writing on the wall 🫶🏿 It's an honor to have a poem on display as part of "For Liberation and For Life" celebrating 50 years of Black Dimensions in Art, Inc. 🙌🏿
.
When I dream about my poet life, I believe poems deserve physical space as much as my paintings and murals. Poems can be everywhere...on a wall, on a sidewalk, on stage, in a book, in a magazine, on your rep's answering machine, in theater, in an art exhibit...I mean I haven't found a place it can't go.
.
Half the battle is believing what you imagined. Whoever said you can’t do this is only right if you believe them.

Did you make your way over to Albany Institute of History & Art yet to see this show? Also, if you pick up a copy of this month's issue of Metroland Now, not only am I on the cover but you can read more about Black Dimensions in Art, Inc. And if you haven't seen the other BDA, Inc exhibit at Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery 🙌🏿
.
Speaking of poetry, hope I see y'all next month at Unspoken Word Poetry Festival 😉
.
and for anyone who's out here trying to manifest poet and artist dreams, join me next week for my Striving Artist class ✨️
.
Where else should I put a poem next?
