I appreciate the advice, James. I’d listen to you over most people on this platform if I’m honest. But I, too, have heard this advice and considered it here. Unfortunately I don’t think it’s something I can afford to do.

This novel idea is one that I find myself inextricably linked to, and it happens to be my first complete novel so I was bound to make some mistakes. Something that I learned the other day is going to change the way I approach novels and make everything I do better and more relatable. So as much as I would like to turn it in, I’m happy to do this rewrite because I believe fervently that it will make the novel as good as it can be.

Sorry for the long, rambling response. But I appreciated the advice and wanted to explain myself.
