The only thing more tragic than how Charlie Kirk died is how he lived: building a machine that taught young men to sneer at empathy, to treat gun deaths as an acceptable cost of freedom, to see Black people, migrants, Muslims, LGBTQ folks, and outspoken women as enemies, and to turn teachers and librarians into targets.
