Religious fundamentalists of all faiths are inclined to forego the principles and commandments of their faith in order to promote the end-goal... secure the eternal salvation of everyone and/or follow the commands of god or god's representative. The gift of ever-lasting life is deemed so precious that "good" people will sacrifice everything in favor of the end-goal.
