I've always been drawn to the art of Kintsugi, and all it represents, and ever since I first heard Peter Mayer's Japanese Bowl, I've wanted to paint it.
It's taken months of experimenting, and trial and error, but I think I've finally found a way to represent the idea on canvas.
”So now every old scar shows
from every time I broke
And anyone’s eyes can see
I’m not what I used to be
But in a collector’s mind
All of these jagged lines
Make me more beautiful
And worth a much higher price”
