I recently went through my stuff and I made a discovery—I write in multiple notebooks at the SAME time. It wasn’t something I consciously planned, but there they were, a sentence here, a spoken words piece there, a phrase I thought about, ideas, everyday musings and moments.
I had unknowingly developed a habit: writing in multiple notebooks at the same time. At first, I wondered why I don’t just stick to one, but then as I pondered upon it, I realize that each one serves a unique purpose in my creative journey. It’s a beautiful chaotic collection that captures my thoughts in their raw form.
If you are struggling with writing or feel like you are not good enough, I want to encourage you: just write. It doesn’t have to be perfect or organized. The act of writing itself is powerful and creativity doesn’t always follow a straight path—sometimes, the best ideas emerge from the chaos of multiple perspectives (multiple notes and scribblings in my own space though)
Some people prefer to keep one notebook, a single place to collect their thoughts and ideas, which is amazing. But for me, it’s quite the opposite—I find myself writing in multiple notebooks at the same time. Each notebook captures a different layer of my creativity, whether it’s brainstorming for a new copywriting project, sketching out spoken word pieces, blog posts or simply reflecting on random thoughts throughout the day.
For me, it’s not about keeping things organized all the time—it’s about being flexible and allowing space for creativity to flourish in different forms. Revisiting those pages, months or even years later, always feels like discovering hidden gems—old ideas that spark new inspiration, it also helps you give gratitude for how much you have grown as an individual and also a way to document your growth process.
A Quick Advice;
If you find yourself doubting your abilities or hesitating to write, embrace the messiness. Grab a notebook—any notebook ( or if you are like me NOTEBOOKS) and let your thoughts flow. You might just discover something amazing about yourself along the way.
