Historical figures mentioned in my article 23
Han Hu韩虎, historically known as "Viscount Kang of Han" (韩康子), was the tenth patriarch of the Han clan in the State of Jin during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods.
In 453 BC, Han Hu (Viscount Kang of Han), along with Zhao Wuxu (Viscount Xiang of Zhao赵襄子) and Wei Ju魏驹 (Viscount Huan of Wei魏桓子), defeated Zhi Yao智瑶 (Viscount Xiang of Zhi智襄子) and partitioned his territories, leaving only two cities under the nominal rule of the Duke of Jin. Their domains expanded significantly, surpassing those of traditional feudal lords.
After Han Hu's death, his grandson Han Qia韩虔 (Marquis Jing of Han韩景侯) formalized the partition of Jin with the Zhao and Wei clans, establishing an independent Han state and relocating its capital to Yangdi阳翟 (modern Yu County, Henan). In 403 BC, King of Zhou was compelled to recognize Han Qian as a hereditary lord.
