My beef with the accusation that mass immigration skeptics are xenophobes is that I automatically extend that judgment to all parts of the world where mass immigration isn’t even considered. At which point, the “if everyone’s in the club, no one’s in the club” rule becomes operative. Wanting to engineer a new ethnic majority for an existing country is the weird position. Thinking it’s weird is the normal one.
