This morning, as I walked to a coffee shop, I found myself behind a very, very tall man. I knew immediately who he was, since I’ve come to Harrogate to see him, after being awed by his BBC Maestro course. He was oblivious to my short presence behind him. I said, “Excuse me. Aren’t you Lee Child? I wanted to say thank you — you’ve changed my life.”
