On this day in Texas history, in 2010, Texas Stadium, with it’s iconic hole in the roof so God could watch his team play, which had opened in Irving on October 24, 1971, was imploded. The Dallas Cowboys new super stadium, dubbed “Jerry World,” in Arlington officially opened on May 27, 2010.
