I’ve had sailor-collar blouses on the brain ever since reading this article by Danielle, so for today’s work outfit I finally broke out my own: a plaid cotton version with these lovely lace trim details that somehow make it work for both the spring and the fall (and even the winter holiday season). There’s something inherently whimsical about the combination of the sailor silhouette and the plaid print; the juxtaposition between construction and fabrication is precisely what gives this piece its unique character!

I styled it with pleated jeans and red leather loafers with socks to accentuate both the vintage and whimsical aesthetics I’m going for (I hope 😅)
