I cannot love the raw, unapologetic, authentic vulnerability present in this post!!!

The willingness to offer to God our pain, uncertainty, frustration, fears, and desperate plea for comfort and reassurance from the Father is EXACTLY the heart He seeks.

To worship him in spirit, and truth.

To ‘Confess our sins to each other so that we will be healed’ (James 5:16). Not by understanding, or the knowledge of man…..rather, by the acknowledgement of our confession in sincerity.

“God I need you. I'm mad. I'm hurting. I'm scared.”

The Father hears our heart and meets us. Not with a solution, but with an increase of our faith. A justification of our trust in Him. The answers, while sought, are not the focus of our prayer, or cry of our heart…it is simply Him.

‘Lord, where are you? I need you.’

My prayer and conviction personally from this post is seeing how often I meet others with my experience, my understanding, my knowledge, my wisdom. While there may be moments when that is required, that's not how the Lord meets any of us. He hears our hearts cry and comes to comfort, to reassure, to love. The truth, the honesty of the moment, comes during the process as the Lord knows we are able to hold it.

Personal prayer:

Lord, forgive me for the times I faced others and my own struggle with my understanding and capabilities. For not extending the grace and heart of yours to those who are in their wrestle with you. Thank you for convicting me and for giving me the opportunity to open my heart to be more like yours and meet myself and others with the grace only you can give. In your mighty and matchless name I pray.

Amen.

To Tanya:

Thank you for allowing God the opportunity to meet you in the discomfort. For having the faith enough to cry out in your moment. I trust God hears the heart of His child, and is reaching down into your world to love you.
