I want to taste tequila, tears and walnut ice cream

I want to see beyond my few acres into the void

Essentially forever

I want to smell fresh brewed coffee and my mom’s perfume

Essentially forever

I want to hear I love you and why can’t you hear me

Essentially forever

I want to experience and document my life

As a tangible living entity

This is what poetry does for me

Allows me to live in the moment

Yet leave behind an echo
