It is frightening how little American popular discourse is focusing on the fact that the American military, obeying the orders of Donald Trump, is committing what the US government would call war crimes if they were committed by any other country.

And this is on top of the American policy of summarily executing suspected criminals in international waters. And launching attacks in flagrant violation of international law forbidding wars of aggression (the crime for which we hanged Nazis.) And the seizure of the resources of subjugated countries. And the continual threats of much worse, up to and including nuclear attacks and genocide.

American foreign policy is now setting ablaze the past 85 years of American foreign policy. And most Americans, it seems, haven’t noticed.
