I would argue that doing 2.5x the amount of housework as the average husband IS draining women of their life force. Just because it's better than it was 20 years ago doesn't mean that women are overreacting by calling attention to the persistent gap between what men and women do at home. I would also like to know how many women in the study twenty years ago were working full-time. If a higher percentage of women are working full-time AND still doing 2.5x as much domestic labor as their husbands, it erases the illusion of any gains we have made.
