I don’t think so at all, at least not in NY! (And if not here, I can’t imagine it’s better elsewhere). I see so many centrist/liberal/apathetic/whatever is going on in Dimes Square writers with books out, in all the magazines, etc. I think it’s hard to be an artist and not have SOME leftist sympathies right now given the bludgeoning the arts are taking right now from Trump, not to mention issues of free speech around protests etc. But people with plenty of corporate and capitalist writers seem to be doing quite well to me!
