What’s funny about neo-masculinists is they take part in the “just two genders” choir but simultaneously believe in a complicated taxonomy of categories of gender expression (Alpha, Beta, Sigma, whatever else) that still constitutes some kind of variety of at least “sub-gender” identities which are functionally just treated like a conception of genders and are basically as nonsensical and weirdly specific as those Tumblr users who call themselves “astralgender” or “pizzagender.” The only real difference is that the neo-masculinists order theirs into a hierarchy.
