The app for independent voices

Jake Lang is a white supremacist January 6 attacker who was pardoned by Donald Trump on January 20, 2025. He spent four years in prison for beating Capitol officers with a bat. That is who he is.

Today, he showed up in Minnesota to do exactly what he has always done: provoke chaos. He bragged online that he planned to burn the Quran, then inserted himself into a tense crowd and started pushing buttons for attention and escalation.

A majority of people were polite. But this is the Internet and the videos you are going to see are going to see clips of him crying, photos of him bloody, and videos of people hosing him down in Minnesota. It almost seems righteous given what he did to the Capitol officers.

But what I am watching, in real time, on Twitter, is coordination. This was a setup. Alt-right accounts are already screaming for “government intervention.” Convenient, considering Kristi Noem publicly threatened exactly that days ago. but they cannot invoke the Insurrection Act in a locality unless there is an insurrection, or at least something that can be framed as one.

Minnesota did not give them that. So Jake Lang volunteered. He showed up to agitate. This is going to spread like wildfire and paint the left as “radical agitators” which is what Trump wants.
