In the wake of the sudden passing of Sen. Lindsey Graham, South Carolina's governor must rush to appoint a replacement to serve out his term for the rest of the year. However, at the behest of Donald Trump, the front runner for that seems to be Graham's sister, Darline Graham Nordone.

Graham Nordone seems to be getting the position for no other reason than being related to the late senator. According to an interview from 2015 she worked as an information director for South Carolina's Department of Vocational Rehabilitation and has never held public office.
