Prepping- I like to prepare things in advance- batch cooking as I shop. Fresh food doesn’t last a long time in Italy. I like to cook while it’s at its peak. A simple chili pickle and some boiled string beans.

I also made an eggplant spread, I call it jam. It’s a sweet and sour Chinese recipe I tweaked.

Tomorrow is market day.
