This week’s post, I shared the Sicilian recipe for pasta con le sarde, made for San Giuseppe, Saint Joseph’s day, which is Father’s Day in Sicily.

My recipe is using fresh sardines.

Many people buy a premade sauce in a can.

If you can’t get fresh sardines, to make my recipe,you can use canned sardines instead.

This canned version is available in the USA.

You can use as is, or add to a tomato sauce as some regions in Sicily do. I prefer the saffron version.
