The app for independent voices

Day 2 Wisconsin Blizzard=dedicated, distraction-free, personal editing session. I’ve moved into my college-aged son’s empty bedroom with the printed manuscript and notes and office supplies.

This should bring me joy to refine the structure of the narrative and fill in the missing prose. But it’s feeling more a chore 😩

I’m on the round after professional edit and beta readers. I can see the finished book and feel its reverence, but I cannot stay focused to finish this last bit. I estimate about twenty hours of focused attention to the end. Why am I procrastinating??

It’s not a lack of time, it’s a lack of motivation. How do you stay motivated for long-form projects?
