The arrests at the reflecting pool are really scary banana-republic stuff. Everyone knows the problem isn’t vandals - it’s incompetence - but now federal agents need to put people in jail in order to give the president’s lies a veneer of truth. I’d be shocked if anyone gets convicted (they might not even make it to trial) but this is the kind of thing you’d expect in Moscow, not the United States.
