You always own your intellectual property, mailing list, and subscriber payments. With full editorial control and no gatekeepers, you can do the work you most believe in.
When I pushed the post button with a vulnerable question on motherhood a few days ago, I didn’t expect a response as beautiful and hopeful and piercing as this. I am going to carry this close to my heart and know many others will as well. Thank you, !

Substack as a medium is much better than TikTok social media or LinkedIn for serious public discourse but It is still designed and soul as an attention seeking product.
