Make money doing the work you believe in
I am a sports medicine doctor and I want you to know about a 2024 study of nearly 5,000 U.S. adults that found people who strength trained regularly had longer telomeres (the protective caps on your chromosomes that shorten with age) than those who didn't. One to two hours of resistance training per week was enough to see a meaningful difference. Shorter telomeres are associated with accelerated aging, higher disease risk, and earlier death. Longer telomeres are associated with biological youth. This means lifting weights doesn't just make you feel younger. At a cellular level, it may actually keep you younger.
