Bluesky Vs Notes
What are your thoughts in regards to Bluesky and this place being alternatives to Twitter?
I’m enjoying Bluesky as a twitter clone but engagement here is far better as I had a ready made network coming in.
This feels more like a space for writers more than the readers, although many of the readers pivot to having their own Substacks which is probably the master plan.
Bluesky has a lot going for it though as while having next to no network there, Neil Gaiman interacted with my posts and gave me a warm fuzzy feeling.
He didn’t subscribe though. He’d have had to dig deep into my profile to get close to doing that. That would have been a proper win and is the kind of thing that might happen here.
I have subscribed to so many new publications and have had a load of curious new folk also subscribe to me.
So for me I have lots to keep me busy and despite being a hardcore Twitter user since 2007 i’m almost ready to write it off.
I feel that between here, Mastodon and Bluesky I have more than enough lovely humans to connect with.
And if you have read this far I count you as one of them. :-)
