I posted something new today. I can’t help but think that if I’d known about these Black women classical composers, I might have chosen a career as a musician and/or composer. I almost did. A lot of people don’t know this about me, but I was an accomplished clarinetist in high school, among the best in my state (1st chair All-State Orchestra and Band). I have such a deep love for classical music. I’ve raised both my daughters as musicians. May the work of these brilliant women endure.
