The flower bed is in full flow (maybe too much because I was a little over enthusiastic cramming plants in). The meadow is taking shape and now has at least 14 Species of wildflower in it compared to the 2 it started with. The hedge whips are now 2 years old starting to fill out (no thanks to the ant farmed blackfly!. The pond is still a little slow to wake up and sadly, no spawn this year. Slightly concerned I've pissed the neighbours off, perhaps with some wandering Field Mice. They've just bought a plastic owl deterrent and I'm not sure why. But hey, it's a wildlife garden and I'm not content with just having a mown lawn which seems to be all the fashion here. Personally Im quite happy having them scuttling around the compost bin. They do me no harm.
