The greatest compliment I have ever earned came during SFAS. After completely bombing the situational exercise, I found myself debriefing between two scowling instructors. I don't think anyone has ever failed the exercise as hard as I did.

But when one instructor asked the other about me, the second said, with mild indifference, ‘He’s trainable.’
