These paintings always inspire me. Biscuit thinks they remind him of the Dragon’s Teacup on a washing day. He loves to fly between the fluttering sheets and pretend he’s avoiding arrows and cannonballs.
I love this, by the American poet Richard Wilbur:

A clothes line is a thing of beauty – and also a symbol of peace. So tempting to incorporate into my paintings!
