Feminists rightly object to the sexualisation of female action heroes, but they were nevertheless part of a hugely important cultural shift, depicting women not as passive dependents but as as powerful, competent and resourceful. Basically, they got everything sorted, no problem!! I, for 1, reckon this was a plus.
