Make money doing the work you believe in

When organizations let people go, the people who remain are watching.

They are watching whether the explanation matches what actually happened.

They are watching whether leaders distinguish between a workforce reduction, a change in priorities, and a true performance issue.

They are watching the language used, the fairness of the process, and whether dignity is preserved.

Those moments become part of the culture too.

The question is not only, “How do we manage the people leaving?”

It is also, “What are we teaching the people who stay?”

Have you seen this dynamic play out in your organization?
