What you consume, you become:

• The books you read.

• The content you watch.

• The people you spend time with.

• The thoughts you feed your mind.

Choose wisely.

sometimes i wonder how many versions of myself i’ve outgrown without even noticing. i look back at old photos and remember the thoughts i used to carry, the dreams i thought would save me. it’s strange how you can live inside yourself every day and still not realize you’re evolving. it’s only when you look back that you realize how far you’ve come, how many lives you’ve already lived in the same skin.

Uncommon advice:

If you don't know what to pursue in life right now, pursue yourself.

Pursue becoming the healthiest, happiest, most healed, most present, most confident version of yourself.

Then the right path will reveal itself.

People.

They’ll lose their minds over a delayed train, snap over a slow barista. Let a spilled coffee ruin their day.

But when it comes to the big stuff, staying in the wrong job, letting their dreams die quietly. Wasting years on auto pilot.

Nothing. No urgency. No reaction.

We treat small problems like emergencies and the real emergencies as background noise.

Why do we do that?

i miss slow things. slow mornings. slow friendships. slow art. slow romance. everything feels like it needs a deadline when the best parts of being alive takes more time to bloom than we care to admit.

I’m going to say something that shouldn’t be controversial but will be. If you are a Christian, you can support border control and immigration being legal vs illegal. You CANNOT celebrate deportations and get off on the cruelty, and be a real Christ follower. Period

Educate yourself.

When a question about a certain topic pops up, google it. Watch movies and documentaries. When something sparks your interest, read about it.

Read, read, read.

Study, learn, and stimulate your brain.

Don't just rely on the school system; educate your beautiful mind.

You hit publish, and there’s no reaction.

No likes. No shares. Just silence.

But writing isn't about receiving praise.

It’s about leaving parts of yourself for others to discover.

It may take days.

It may take years.

But keep writing, regardless…

Why Trumpers are losing it over Taylor Swift
Michael Wild's avatar

"Why Trumpers are Losing it Over Taylor Swift" could be answered quite shortly. Because they are politically stupid with no self discipline. Given her huge following with young female voters - a key liberal voting demographic - inspiring substantial numbers of them to vote who otherwise may not is dumb, dumb, dumb. Let's see how big a hole they can dig themselves into. It might be a rare moment of entertainment this electoral year.

Unfortunately, that might just mean the Trumpers are a bit less stupid than we've been assuming—since they know young women care about things like Bodily Choice (since they're the ones who can get pregnant when their MAGAt SONS! have sex with them), Income Inequality (because they're more likely to start out with crap-paying minimum wage jobs and stay at them longer than their MAGAt SONS! will), and what's left of the Social Safety Net (because they're more likely to be Last Hired, First Fired than a MAGAt's SONS! are).

A bunch of young, politically-engaged women voters are MAGA's worst nightmare because they're opposed to everything the MAGAts support, up to and including a bloated, bad-smelling, evil old fuckhead like their Mango Messiah.
