Because the story of Mary Magdalene was never only about one woman—it was about a form of spiritual knowledge that could not easily be governed. A knowledge rooted in direct experience of the divine rather than obedience to doctrine. A knowledge that had to be intentionally buried so the Church could rise as the dominant world power. And when a story carries too much power to vanish completely, it cannot simply be erased—it must be rewritten.
