So pleased to see the great children’s writer Cynthia Harnett in this piece. Sadly her books are now out of print but they are well worth seeking out. As a child, I learned lots about the 15th Century cloth trade from The Wool Pack. And I still think of young Nicholas and his friends whenever I see Lombard Street.
