If a staff member is incongruously angry at a situation that doesn’t necessarily warrant their charged emotional reaction, I have learned to ask what else is going on in their life - new baby, lack of sleep, family drama, money problems (health, wealth, relationship problems)?
We all need a scapegoat or a target for our anger. Very often as the employer I find myself / my business being the scapegoat for some employees frustration and anger.
Human psychology 101 - we all need and / or want someone to blame.
Very often it is not the fault of the person or entity we are blaming.
