Screen free weekend play needs prep (especially if your kids wake up early like mine do!) I got into the habit of putting out 3-4 things out for the kids in the evening so when they wake up it’s available and engages them to play. Today’s set up was magnatiles, small toys and a couple of cars (not shown). They came up with this and have been playing since 6:45am! Note: it’s also totally ok if you choose early morning screen time. No judgement here (we do it too on Sundays and when I’m so sleep deprived I can’t deal with the early morning chaos). This is all about little tweaks you can make, if you wish to.
