This morning, after being kind to his sister, my 5-year-old said something so simple yet profound: “Nice makes everything better.”

In a world where so many are fighting invisible battles, especially those living with or caring for someone with cancer, kindness truly matters. A gentle word, a smile, a small act of understanding can reach someone’s heart in ways we may never see.

You never know what another person is going through. Be kind anyway. It really can make everything a little better.
