Last week we were on holiday! 😀🥳🏖️ we stayed at Crofthead Holiday Park in Ayr in a caravan which had a hot tub and stunning views! Concluded I definitely love hot tubs more than I love swimming pools. It had a dishwasher AND a washing machine which is any mother’s dream. I would definitely go back. We were blessed with dry weather - and some sunshine - all week which is not guaranteed in Scotland. We went to the Ayr arcades, Troon beach (my fave), Heads of Ayr Farm Park (way better than Edinburgh Zoo), and played at the holiday park’s play park with my aunty since she only lives 5 minutes away. Tried to go swimming at the local council pool which was a fail since they don’t admit the general public for some reason most of the time - and which I’ve since discovered is the case at most council pools.

Will definitely be going back to Heads of Ayr every year until Aiyana is too cool for it. Also putting a note in my 2026 planner to go to Troon beach at least once a month once we live closer to my parents - right now it’s about an hour’s drive but once we move it will only be about 30 minutes. It is one of my happiest places. 💙 And can’t wait to have a dishwasher then too.

Of course spent this weekend unpacking and doing loads of laundry - despite doing washings every day on holiday. James still hasn’t unpacked…
