I’ve been looking at some of my writing archive in recent years, and I found my discoveries from my visit to Bergen in Norway, home of the Vikings, death metal and pickled herring, a drive to Beachy Head in the English county of Sussex (my home county now) documented in the work of acts as diverse as Throbbing Gristle to The Cure, and my visit to the Bahamas in the week it finally detached itself from Britain and announced itself a republic with Rihanna in attendance.
