Each meal is an opportunity to embrace, rather than erase, our culture. 

That’s a reality we’re focusing on this National Nutrition Month as we remind ourselves that the problem isn’t your plate. 

It’s the system that has tried to convince us that our cultural foods are “bad” when that couldn’t be further from the truth. 

There is nothing wrong with our foods, AND on that note, there is nothing wrong with our bodies. 

However, we often hear that if we just “eat better” and we just “lose weight,” we will be healthy.

Despite counting every calorie, tracking every macro, and exercising 5-7 days a week, I still ended up with an autoimmune disease.
