It is complicated of course, but while I do want to maintain a relationship with my Sister I don’t feel that I can ever satisfy her needs. We lost both our sister and our father in 2 months and neither estate was thoughtful in the bequests. They both had significant property and money which was not allocated fairly across the siblings, but then it never was anyway. And how do you measure fairness? We both received different properties and money. I’ve tried to be generous but it is never enough and I think it is the difference between a poverty mindset (her) and an abundance mindset (me). I will continue to try and assuage her concerns but in the meantime I am moving forward and trying to honor the wishes of our father and sister despite not understanding their motivations.
