Plagiarism has been a hot topic on notes this week, and it’s timely as this photo just appeared in my feed as a suggested post. I couldn’t help but notice a whopping 23,000 likes for the person who shared the image alongside a caption that doesn’t claim the photo is his own, but it also doesn’t say it’s not.

The photographer is Luca Gennatiempo, and he should be named in the caption. Let’s give credit where it’s due when sharing images that inspire us.

Edit: Nenad has done the right thing and updated the caption to credit the photographer, but the message about the importance of acknowledging when we’re sharing someone else’s work still stands.
