I don’t want to be dramatic…but this past weekend has felt like quite the emotional whirlwind… the kind that leaves you a little breathless, in the best possible way.
On Thursday evening, I shared a reel on instagram that went slightly bonkers (my first proper viral moment!). Since then, more than 2,000 women have downloaded eleanorcripps.com/styli…The very same guide that, only days earlier, had launched to… well… tumbleweeds. I never, ever imagined it would find its way into so many homes (or inboxes, or wardrobes). And I feel deeply, genuinely grateful.
I want to say this simply and sincerely: thank you. Thank you for trusting me with something tender. I don’t take that lightly, not for a moment. Getting dressed is never just about clothes ~ and you’ve welcomed this offering with such enthusiasm! Your messages, your stories, your honesty… I’ve read them all slowly and with great love. I’m feeling deeply humbled. You’ve reminded me why this gentle work still matters.
For those of you who are new here… hello! and welcome. I’m so glad you’ve found yourself here. And to those who’ve been here for longer, thank you for staying, for reading, for quietly walking alongside me.
began as something small and very personal. A gentle companion for mothers standing in front of their wardrobes feeling a little… off. Disconnected. Lost. Wondering when getting dressed started to feel like something to endure rather than find joy in. If you’re nodding your head, feeling like this is you: please know this: you’re not failing. And you’re certainly not alone.
The guide isn’t about buying more, fixing your body, or bravely tackling a full wardrobe overhaul (absolutely not). It’s about softening, and making small, supportive shifts, even in a season that’s busy, noisy, or endlessly unfinished.
There’s no rush. No gold star for doing it “properly.” Even just one small change is plenty.
If you haven’t downloaded The Wardrobe Reset yet, you can find it here ~ it’s free, and offered with a very open heart →
As for this little corner of the internet… here’s what you can expect. I write about motherhood and style, dressing as a form of self-respect, simple living, beautiful rituals, and the quiet art of coming back to yourself. Sometimes there are wardrobe thoughts. Sometimes recipes (earlier in my career, I wrote cookbooks). Sometimes feelings. Always thoughtful and gentle. Never shouty. And if you ever feel like replying to one of these emails ~ with a thought, a question, or just to say hello ~ please do. I read every message, and I truly love hearing from you.
One last thing before I go: my January Edit ~ my most-loved monthly newsletter ~ will be landing in your inbox in a few days, and it’s going to be a bumper edition!
For now, I hope you move through today with a little more ease. Do something small and beautiful for yourself!
A thousand hugs, Eleanor x
