Evan says “I’m not going to recommend [Frankenstein] for a modern audience for more than historical interest” but I disagree... I read Frankenstein back in early college, mostly because one of my neighbors needed help writing a book review of it or he was going to fail to graduate high school, and I found it a lot more readable than most of the stuff I’d been assigned. It’s a hell of a lot better than Dickens, imo!
