I’m really solid at reportage.

Been trained to write the facts and then make them sexy in a salesy way or basic enough that they can be understood by anyone. The idea of more “interiority” or adding how I feel about the situation is not only foreign but feels wrong.

I deeply appreciate the examples that Alexander Chee offers in this post to make the suggestion we all get at some point (“more of you, please!”) both more palatable and real.
