In other news, another client secured their permanent residency visa yesterday!
No lie, I get super excited and happy when clients hit major milestones.
Last week a client told me their child secured their immigration status, which will enable them to access educational pathways.
Yes, I continue to serve clients while caretaking for my husband.
Sometimes, that means sitting in the grocery store parking lot thinking through and emailing a client advice about how to answer certain consulate questions.
Sometimes, it's reviewing a document in line while in a doctor’s waiting room.
Sometimes, it's making a little toast to them on my patio, telling the hummingbird that “they got in!”
Arrivals to the new place.
Milestones.
Challenges.
Epiphanies.
Of all the things I do, this is the one that I will not put on the backburner - individual client support and connection.
I realized why - because this is the foundation of this community we are building.
Nothing has shown me that more than this past week, when numerous clients donated to support Wes’s medical treatment.
A global community requires community care, and mutual care goes both ways.
Applauso for the wonderful people who have decided to spread their wings and emigrate, conscientiously.
