We must vote with well-formed consciences, but we cannot call any political candidate infallible.

We must carefully discern who receives our vote, but we cannot be too proud of our choice to admit when the politician we elected inflicts great harm upon human beings and causes scandal.

We can even feel excited about a candidate who supports much of Church teaching, but we cannot let our support keep us from calling them higher into greater virtue and leadership.
